Same buddy, I am currently unemployed and have an average of 27.62 with MQG and large buys averaging down during the GFC - so i started selling some end of 2105 at high 70's low 80's then bought them all back in the JAN FEB crash 2016 and now selling this lot as they reach 12mths GCT, this is the year again selling for tax reasons plus my new goal.

Great post, good to have a good rant occasionally, I also have been investing since I was about 20 back when chalk boards were king and LCD tickers were only a dream. I am 60 now and in a partnership with my wife who is 50. Anyway she has lost her appetite for investing and volatility so it is time to dissolve our partnership (not the marriage lol) so I can reinvest in a tax friendly environment (SFS). Anyways looking to exit but the beginning of the financial year never seems to be a good time along with the ex dividend slump.
