Regarding cash I think there will be a tendency to eliminate the high value cash notes such as the $100 and perhaps $50, as was seen in Melbourne last week, the counterfeit $100. Also $100 notes are useful for exchange in crime etc.
Smaller value notes such as $5, $10, $20 perhaps $50 are so convenient though for small transactions they will be retained, hence the new $5 note that is very difficult to counterfeit and new $10 note coming out later in the year.
I think the future for ATM's is still strong.
