You wernt completely wrong, the US has a big domestic economy unlike Australia. Australia is bound to China and if China breaks down so will Australia.
Us does a lot with Japan as well and Australia.
We import lots of US machinery into Australia like John Deere, trucks, cars and other stuff.
At the moment companies selling US machinery are not doing well because of the strength of the US dollar.
I buy parts for my ride on from the US. In the last year one drive belt which is really a fan belt went from 54usd to 76usd. I wont be buying another US machine that is for sure.
I know this is off topic but international trade affects the US dollar and the US dollar directly affects the POG.
