Ok, got this in writing from Computershare. The Guatamalens makes way more sense than the response I got because the response I got doesn't answer the question, it has to do with someone being present at the meeting to cast that vote (i.e what the Guatamalen said).... no more from me regarding this, just wanted it for sharing purposes.
Good afternoon Mr Abbott,
Thank you for your enquiries. Please see my reply below:
1) If shareholders have directed their vote, but named me as proxy, and sent
their vote in, is there anything I need to do prior to meeting, or can I just attend
and that is it as you will have record?
You are not required to take any action prior to the Meeting.
When you attend the meeting we will provide you with a Voting card and a summary of your voting entitlement.
2) What is the purpose of having me as proxy, if the shareholders have directed
their vote and sent it in? it makes no clear sense to me?
You must vote in accordance with the directions given by the Shareholders.
In the event of a Poll you should complete the voting paper, as you see fit, for any Open/Un-directed Votes.
