China wants to raise the rate of rural waste water treatment from current 10% to 70%. Sound ambitious? Not too ambitious when we consider they want to alleviate 55.75m people out of poverty during the same period.

Being a command economy, I am not sure how it feels to be a Chinese citizen on the receiving end when land acquisition laws give authorities the right to acquire your homes in the name of development. But it sure pays to be on their government's side when they want to eradicate untreated rural waste water. That's the fortune we have in being EMC shareholders, I guess.
