I encourage and welcome the skepticism that shareholders such as gasoroil, oilman and bob have met the Macquarie takeover offer and not taking things at face value.
Management's decision to commit to this path in my mind represents a significant change of tact from the company's current trajectory of being major gas supplier into the NGP remaining in public ownership.
They have the burden of proof to demonstrate that this is the best outcome for the majority of shareholders, which we should not set too lightly, given what is at stake.
