Maybe, but won't higher real interest rates entice some gold holders to exchange some of their gold holdings for cash in interest bearing deposits and alike?
And, doesn't the paper market impact the share price of Gold miners?
To be honest HC 999, I know a little about economics and the rest is just what I have observed in the markets over the last couple of years. I don't trade futures and ETFs and have little knowledge of the paper markets apart from the observations I've made. Others will know a lot more than I about those matters.
