You are right, although imo Philippines has particularly bad record for miners (and vice versa perhaps?). For Zambia my understanding is very pro-mining, and quite dependent on it's reputation in this respect.
Nevertheless I have become must more cautious post HDR (except for still recklessly holing over 40% in nickel), and only hold 5% or so in each of these smaller stocks.
Finding new no-brainers is getting harder, and these nickel stocks still have upside imo. Alb has a pretty impressive exploration portfolio, and well funded by others, plus a lot to like about Munali.
