You can try checking out Metal Bulletin News...even if you are not a subscriber you can get the general gist of whats going on just with the headlines/intro and google info from there. If it's an article from Goldman Sachs saying everything is Rosie...run away quickly. It's not a perfect science but it does give you something to gauge the mood.
