I recently posted the following on the Zinc Futures thread. The questions raised are obviously relevant to RVR. I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts
------
I'm interested in knowing if anyone here besides myself is long on zinc and short on the market index more generally?
I've been accumulating large positions in HRR and RVR, and I believe the fundamentals of both companies are strong considering worsening supply shortfalls. At the same time I've been building a sizeable short on the DJIA, which I think is on the cusp of a significant (and possibly protracted) trend reversal.
Is anyone similarly positioned? Do you think the fundamentals of zinc will more than offset the falling demand for industrial metals that would accompany a correction. Or do these positions seems incongruent to you?
