I think you're right that for anyone who got in a couple of years ago and wanted to hold long term it has been very disappointing. Could anyone really say that they're happy with the SP being where it was 2 years ago?
But it all depends on your timeframe. If I could afford it, I would be happy to drop 100K on AJX right now and put it in the bottom drawer. It seems like a very safe long term bet.
At the other end of the time scale, have you looked at the chart and seen how many times a trader could make 20 - 30% or more with relative safety over the past two years?
AJX has much to offer both investors and traders.
