Here is my take on this based on the link above from Central China TV news and the TFS media releases.
TFS media releases in September. First shipment of sandalwood to china at $150,000 per tonne around 15 tonnes for the first order worth $2,250,000
Chinese officials get a tip off in October of Sandalwood from Australia being under valued to avoid import taxes into china.
Chinese officials seize 16 tonnes of sandalwood that was reported from Australia to be worth $150,000 per tonne and was declared when imported at a price of $1200 per tonne.
The video clearly shows customs officials raiding an office in China and walking past a big sign at the office entrance with a big TFS complete logo in view.
It would be fair to assume that the wood that was seized was from that office, but it is online media, and I may be mis reading it, but that is my assumption based on the content.
There are too many parts of this to be coincidental to me. You will also see the wire crates in the video look the same as the ones in the ABC story.
    My question
If it was indeed a TFS representative, employee or distributor that had their wood seized would it be reasonable to assume that TFS new about it, and if they did would this be information that we would reasonably expect to be made public. Also, if this has been going on for some time, what has happened to all the other sandalwood that should have been shipped by now to satisfy the contract as published last year?
Also, what scrutiny will there be from this point on for future shipments to china. Someone has clearly been done for tax / duty fraud but I don't know who exactly that is?
I look forward to hearing the views of both the pro TFS posters who continually sing their praises, and also the sceptics. I /we could have inportant SP decisions to make next week. Sell the lot or buy up big?
I wish HC had a spel chek er
