Towie, I did read an article a while ago that gave interior temperatures in full sun conditions, showing the impact that different exterior colours had on cabin temperatures.
As I recall it, much to my surprise, the difference in light and dark exterior colours on interior temperatures was negligible in small cars. The difference became more pronounced in larger cars. Why, I'm not sure.
I like the dark grey.
