    Hi
You mean MSN, don't you??? If so, I totally agree, but you'd have to be a babe-in-arms not to realise they are 'beholden' to U.S.-centric reporting with a breath-taking lack of detail and analysis. I listen to Al-Jazeera, I sometimes switch on SBS overseas news from Germany/France - I read an on-line magazine called 'the Local' which brings shallow news about 9 European countries - shallow, but it gives a bit of balance. -
I listen to news analysis on Radio National, especially in the morning and I get the odd huge-sized overseas newspaper (die Zeit), which often tackles difficult issues in great detail and in a superb writing style. There is a lot of information available on-line, but avoid anything that starts off with fear-inspiring music meant to arouse your Amygdala into fear- and hate mode - a predictor of a scandal/racist/hate message to follow.
I have never come across the Awan brothers - but will check them out now.

All very time-consuming, but if you do your groundwork on a regular basis it doesn't take long to grow your own bullshit detector. I recommend it!
