"Weatherill exposed on coal offer;
In explosive revelations today splashed on the front page of Adelaide’s daily newspaper The Advertiser, a letter obtained by the Liberal Party and given to the newspaper provides extensive details of Alinta Energy’s bid in May 2015 to keep the 576 megawatt Northern power station in Port Augusta open until mid-2018.
Alinta had asked for just $25m in financial assistance from the state government, but Mr Weatherill rejected that and at the time declared “coal is dead”. The power station was forced to close by the Premier’s relentless pursuit of a state-based 50 per cent renewable energy target."
More unnecessary and intentional sabotage of our way of life.
