In view of ASIC's statement that they routinely monitor Internet stock forums and the impending trial of an online stock forum memeber in the County Court of Victoria on 17 charges of insider trading, is it wise ....
1) for a director of a publicly listed company to disclose market sensitive information through channels other than the ASX's company announcements' office ? 2) for a stock forum poster to claim that he/she is in possession of such information ? 3) to disseminate such alleged knowledge on online forums prior to the official ASX announcement ?
My guess is that it is all bullshiite, for no other reason than a company director would simply not be stupid enough to do such a thing.
