Of course the other thing to keep in mind here, is what are we hoping to achieve with the final HSV2 results? Oddly enough it's not curing HSV2. It's simply having good enough results to attract a partner to fund Ph.3 trials.
It is only through a very large trial over a number of years and with different vaccine strengths will it be known what is the best way to use this new vaccine. The Ph.2 was just a shot in the dark. It seems to be working very well (58%). The final results will be more conclusive - and hopefully we will get that Ph.3 partner (perhaps even, our yet to be announced, HPV Head & Neck big pharma partner.....).
