PhillW: Read your post after I had written mine. I agree we should be involved, but believe our need for funds is greater than we can supply, hence my feeling that CNOOC should be involved as well. They are not likely to sell down as are the usual suspects. I'll be disgusted if this issue is the same as previous issues. Surely we are in a better position now to issue at a decent premium. I understood the reason we employed some of our" heavy hitters" was to help in this matter. Perhaps an issue to the shareholders + some options +CNOOC is a solution. I'm one of the long term FAR supporters but will lose some confidence in management if this equity raising doesn't break new ground.
