Notice how the SP falls shortly after trade and then recovers in the closing auction? Its been a consistent trend for a while. My working hypothesis is this shows shorts opened at commencement of day's trade and closing at the end. But then again daily reported shorts tend to be less than 100,000...maybe I'm reading too much into it
