can someone explain the logic of the "trading halt". OK, it's a major ann but doesn't sound any bigger than those made by many companies *without* halting.
As I understand it, the TH is designed to prevent pre-ann buying to beat a sp rise. Something that could be construed as unfair or insider trading etc.
Why the halt? Bad luck if you needed to sell some GDN today (not me). You own this property (shares) and you're stopped from selling them.
