There are actually several defining factors to the way people from different races look. When looked at closely the skeletal structures alone are quite different between for example a european, an african and an asian. These are thought to be mild adaptions to the different environments we have been living in for the past 100000 years or so. These have different advantages and disadvantages but overall we are basically the same.
