oxfam and those poor coffee farmers

Oxfam have been called on their approach to poverty reduction in the developing world - particulary their fairtrade coffee.

Our household would spend hundreds of dollars a year at oxfam for christmas etc., but since Kilwa we are now very cynical about these organisations.

The Kilwa incident was a sad and very tragic event. However, it certainly opened my eyes to the activities of the professional charities. Anvil, on the other hand, has learnt a great deal from this tragedy and I am proud to say that they seem to be "THE" model coporate citizen in central Africa.
