Hopefully, the extension is because they were disappointed in the number of current options (HEGOA) exercised before Friday and they are expecting some really good news in the coming couple of weeks that will encourage people to exercise their HEGOA options before the new record date. The HEGOA options expire on 31 may 2007 in any case and with the current differential between these and the heads it is hardly worth exercising them even with the prospect of 1 for 2 free options.
