Leclanché Receives China Certification For LTO Battery





Switzerland-based Leclanché has received certification for its LTO battery cells that will allow it to provide battery solutions for EVs in China. This certification, which was performed by an independent testing lab, corresponds to the latest standards from the Standards Administration of China, and covers lifetime, safety and performance requirements.
Leclanché is in discussions with several parties in China to develop strategic partnerships in technology licensing and manufacturing.
“With the expected doubling of electric vehicle battery capacity in China by 2020 and lithium batteries as the key technology, the opportunities for Leclanché are significant,” said Anil Srivastava, CEO of Leclanché. “This is an important milestone for Leclanché and will support the growth strategy of the company.”
