From the AFR
"Environment Minister Malcolm Turnbull has dismissed the prospect of big subsides for the solar power industry, saying it would be an expensive way to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
This has killed hope that Peter Costello might announce a series of measures to increase the take-up of rooftop solar panels.
"It's very important to focus on what you are trying to achieve",he told the National Press Club,in Canberra, yesterday."It [solar] is a pretty expensive way to reduce greenhouse gases."
Mr Turnball said broad-based market measures-emissions trading-were the best ways to reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere".
It continues.......Blah blah blah.
