Hadleigh Castle underground was started in 1993 by the Ashton / Aurora JV, Contractor was National Mine Management. SMC came in at a much later date after Mount Muro in Kalimantan opened up and the jv partners went their separate ways and sold the mines and the Rishton Plant , which incidentally came from another famed site, in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, Agricola.
