Oh, if only the government was desperate to at least be seen to be addressing all sorts of tricky political problems in one go, from the domestic gas energy market failure, to the financial and Barrier Reef killing lunacy of the Adani coal mine, to jobs (votes!)  in Queensland electorates, to climate change and our place in the hi tech future generally...

Oh, if only someone like Elon Musk (and Jay Weatherill) had recently thrust the notion that home battery storage + solar = massive revolution in individual household electricity husbandry into the political and public spotlight...

If only we had a Prime Minister with a known history of backing tech venture innovation...
