Don't know about that. If the patents are held by a private citizen / company of the US then the US gov cannot just claim ownership of the patents (unless given consent by the owner). We still have a democracy over here lol. If the US gov viewed these patents as matter of national security and wanted to have exclusive ownership of the patents trust me they have the capital to just by them outright. Doesn't make since for the US to have possessions of these patents as a matter of national security but on the flip side let D13 commercialize / monetize them.
