    Andy-j,

Took me some time - long ago - to realise stockbrokers are not the sort of people one should trust or deal with.
Apologies to the genuine - honest brokers of which there may be many.
    Unfortunately I didn't find one.

Have "sacked" three or four brokers for blatant dishonesty.

A couple of others suggested parting company as I closed in on their manipulation.

Always remember brokers are not in the business to make YOU wealthy.
    They have higher, over-riding objectives.

Two times I received "phone calls from brokers suggesting I sell off a particular company.
A Highly unusual occurrence (unique?) to be actually contacted in such a way by the brokers.

    Refused both times.

On one of these occasion posted on HC ---
"This company is a BUY, BUY, BUY! Broker has just phoned and suggested I sell."
Within a week in each occasion company take-overs were announced and share prices rocketed.
    I could go on ------!

It was not until I took on Margin Lending Comsec and traded - invested through the Internet that I progressed.
From being in a negative financial situation have moved on to over a million dollars accumulated profits in not so many years.

    HC has been very helpful.
But can be very misleading at cost to you.
Lots of sharks use this forum very cleverly.
They well know psychology of people and manipulate them accordingly - at much cost to you and much profit to manipulators.

The market is manipulated by those in the know and powerful and wealthy.
You are behind in the ball game so be very careful.

The bottom line in all this ----????

Avoid stockbrokers, start trading by yourself through the Internet and do your own research.
