This is an opportunity for Peak to provide technical assistance to another company: Peak gets a bit of money for their time, as well as a chance to further refine (pun not intended, but I'll take it anyway) their knowledge, and the other company gets the benefit of a bit of expertise that might otherwise be difficult, tedious, or expensive to develop in-house. As best as I can tell from the announcement, this is merely announcing discussions to possibly enter into a collaboration - not a signed, sealed, and delivered contract.

As long as the terms are reasonable towards Peak, I don't see this raising any cause for concern - and I'd be surprised if management entered into an agreement that was a net negative for the company.
