service provider conference

There was a meeting of all the heads of Australian Service Providers on last Friday. I was not able to gain a lot of information about what was said but one thing off interest was a new technology that was announced that would replace WIFI. I was hoping someone knew some more about it and whether or not MUL was present at the conference. I know that Telstra, Optus and a few others were speaking and Optus claimed there Satelite technology was going offer Broadband to all of Australia...
