And if they can get a story for nothing then they'll use it even though they may change a word here, a number there.
On the NRT site, someone one mentioned an article from a "reputable" magazine. It was dated 25 Aug. I could see that it was not original, so someone searched and found it was Aug. 7 . But they had "borrowed" it from a NBC broadcast, a video, dated June 22. I watched it.
That custom is widespread: On the PTD site, I caught 2 papers plagiarizing: One article was from 18 months back.
I don't have time for these guys anymore. AFR had some good financial writers; then it became too expensive and now they have glorified reporters messing up and distorting the facts.
Besides, I hardly get time to look at emails nowadays.
