This is not about conspiracy theories. It is about what is possible and what you can get away with.
Why wouldn’t you use what you can to achieve your goals – buying in as low as possible
Those tools include:
the legal environment, including the way it is monitored and managed; the IT you have available, the very obvious flakey sentiment of a substantial number of shareholders – the retail sector and past patterns to make money.
That’s what I am seeing on the charts. What I also see on Hotcopper is all the ammunition such brokers need to run such a strategy – fear.
