A placement to a company the size of RIO would be insignificant. RIO which has been criticised for missing this M&A cycle would be looking for something far more significant. It has an affinity for uranium, calling the spot price to US$200/lb and reversing the proposed sale of it's Sweetwater mill. If anything, I suggest it's a bid by RIO, management has links and the assets are known, coming originally from the RIO energy division. If it was a placement, I would be surprised that the shares would be in suspense to possibly tuesday
