If I remember rightly, selling info was a temporary money-making thing while they sorted out the subscriptions. I'm not sure they actually sold anything, just reserved the right to.
Though I've not seen anything in the subsequent Ann's to say that it's been rescinded.
Current user terms and conditions would have to mention it, I would imagine.
