he did say "a load of bollocks" frequently as well until around 1976, when The Sex Pistols released the album "Never Mind the Bollocks, here's The Sex Pistols". He thought they were an abomination (and a horrific influence on me), and regarded it as an outrage that they'd commercialised the word "bollocks", so from then on he never used the word "bollocks" again, assuring himself that the pistols got no support from him.
You can take the boy out of Essex, but......
He probably would have said that an investment in MSB is also a load of old cobblers (until at least they become... what is it called?.... commercially self sustaining...)
