The number one "key" to mining projects is not landowners, it is money and having enough of it to develop your project. Without enough investor support to provide the capital you need then landowners do not matter, as you are not doing anything anyway. Yes, in the SI, landowners are very important to getting things done, but my contention is that right now they are not most important to AVQ. Securing enough funding to do the work needed is the number one issue for AVQ. The rights issue is not going to raise much money due to its pricing and AVQ need more than $1-2M. They need way more than that in order to be able to do anything serious. The investment funds are not going to put serious money into San Jorge as it is too low grade. Therefore, the serious money will sit on the sidelines to see what happens with Kolosori. In the meantime while that scenario plays out AVQ should be cutting their costs to the bone. They do not need development staff and a MD costing well over a $1m year. They should be running on the smell of an oily rag until the Kolosori situation clarifies itself. However, AVQ management show no inclination to seriously cut costs and the biggest cost is RM.
