The spike to 8.2 saw oppies momentarily trading under the 2c exercise , 2.1 or 2.2c from memory. It was quickly corrected tho.
The more recent spike to 6.2 saw oppies to 5.1, which is clearly overs.
Seems there is no hard and fast rule, but a 3c gap is out of the question, certainly until late March next year. If I'm wrong and it happens, I'll be switching 100% to oppies in a blink.
