Yes, I can imagine it. The simple point of disagreement is when will that idea intersect with reality? It's all about least worst short - medium term solutions.
Will renewables be able to replace "Munganna 300 MW & 400MW at Muja A&B" when they close over the next 2 years?
The desired transition to renewables must operate on an economic & socially realistic timetable, not one based on ideology & dogma.
RenewEconomy still projects coal fired power out to 2040-2050. Shutting coal fired stations before alternatives are in place = blackouts for all.
