Further to that point - Actually IMHO, the "presence" of skin in the game can also influence how directors make decisions on the raising of capital.
It's all to do with how *much* "skin"
To little- don't really care how it's done. Just get the capital.
To much - care a lot. As in "do I actually have the personal financial capacity *myself* to support it?"
