    how anyone could post that the sp is holding up well I can't fathom.
    Here's a rough list of how the players have fared over the last appalling 'graphite' year....

    (highest close to current close)

    Kibaran........ 33c ---> 16c = 52% loss
    Magnis......... $1.05 ---> 63c = 40% loss
    Syrah............ $6.52 ---> $2.51 = 60% loss
    Talga.............. 87c ----> 59.5c = 32% loss
    VRC ............. 12.5c ----> 3.2c = 75% loss

    disaster year for graphite due to over-hyped prospects for EV's and a refusal to admit that graphite supply is already well catered for without any new producers at this stage, and that doesn't even take into account the use of synthetic graphite which though more expensive than natural graphite is a superior product.

    it may well be that EV's eventually become the winners but by the time that takes place many of the more vulnerable would-be natural graphite producers just won't be around. It could be many years before EV's really make any impact on the humble ICE powered competitors. There's no boom yet in EV uptake. Joe Bloggs is still buying the latest biggest gas guzzlers and the automotive industry giants are still treading very warily around the prospect of wholesale change to any of their current technology - wouldn't you if you already had mega-billions invested in current technology?

    which leaves VRC where exactly?....
