Actually, that is a good point. With hard rock lithium, while it is currently roasted in the extraction/concentration process, there are at least two alternative concentration processes in development that eliminate the roasting step, thus offering significant potential cost savings - both Australian. So it is quite possible that hard rock lithium mining will get cheaper yet.
