Rather than the expense and fluffing around with websites why not use IRC. Costs nothing and you create your channel(s) on the fly which can be restricted in various ways ie., set to invite only, kick/ban the farqwits, ops give voice etc. It's also real time chat and you can dcc files and chat privately.
