There are two parts to this. One is the structural potential for "manipulation". For any small cap stock on the ASX that is a given. The number of trades and the relative mix of retail to institutional lends itself to that if someone has a mind and is prepared to invest to do so.
The other is the managerial climate for that to happen in. The relative loyalty of the base of holders, the amount of validity placed on the statements from management, the effort they'll go to to look after those that support the business as it grows and the evident traction that plainly dispels the professional naysayers.
Can shake the tree if the leaves are glued on.
