I can sympathise at the loss you are experiencing. Between my wife and I, on paper, we are down over 200 grand in POS However, I still have faith that POS will improve and eventually put us into profit. We are holding, and have been aquiring POS on the way down, but not risking more than we are prepared to lose. There is another holding of ours that dropped to 1.5 cents. It recovered and is now sitting at 20 cents, and likely to climb higher. Any investment in stocks has risk. The only advice I can offer is to research research research. Check the company, the market it will meet, the demand for the products/ services, the supply already available, and perhaps the most important, the management's ability to build the company, amongst other things. These are lessons we learnt the hard way, with a couple of regretful investments that I would rather forget. The advice to keep food on the table and to get rid of the mortgage, is sound. I hope that the remainder of your holding helps to recoup the loss you have taken.
