    Hey Up,

I wasn't really commenting on NMT's plans directly.
I'm not invested there so have no horse in the race.
I wish you and them all the best with their next venture beyond Mt Marion.

Simply saying that NMT's remaining percentage of Mt Marion and the rights to future offtake was put up for sale and has been passed on by the other partners, and trying to put together a picture of what is going on there, why that was, and as a method of judging the complexity of the construction/commissioning process and timeline for future planned mines.
If it was all guns blazing at Mt Marion then it would have been bought in a New York second.
    Surely?

Perhaps contractual arrangements and exposure to future capex bills are more complex than presented and that its progress is slower than expected in terms of quality and quantity?
We just don't know. Logic would have said that the offtake was critical to NMT plans for an Australian based processor. But this isn't for me to work out. I'm more interested in the mine itself as the most recent example of a new construction project.

We do know they took 18 months to get to through plan and build, and the only reason for bringing it up is that I am using this as a rough guide to the commissioning of speculative projects by new entrants to the hard rock mining scene.
Mt Marion is still, 6-7 months into production, without 2 important circuits.
We've seen posters here from other lithium stocks boldly claiming that they'd be hitting name plate within a period of a few months after record-setting construction times.
    None of that is likely.

Mt Marion is relevant in judging how slowly nameplate production can come on for any new entrants, how problematic reliance on flotation circuits can be for recovery rate predictions, and that it indicates that it is potentially a period of years for the next entrant who may not even benefit from the years of planning and lithium experience that NMT had to put together Mt Marion.
