A Labor source told news.com.au Ms Shorten purchased the necklace for “around $25” from chain store Lovisa at her local shopping centre in Melbourne. They said she removed the necklace because the clasp broke.
But a spokeswoman for Lovisa told news.com.au the necklace is not from there.
“Unfortunately this is not ours,” the spokeswoman said.
