Nice example. I think there is opportunity for low grade resources/wastes, but more so for unconventional lithium sources.
Sileach claims to be a one stop shop for all lithium silicates. So no, I dont see how it would be a combination. That said, no one has seen the cost of Sileach so its hard to say whether or not it is a feasible option in the first place.
For me, the most economical way to treat Spodumene through to Lithium carbonate is roasting. Its the way for a reason. Roasting only costs $1500/t LCE. The rest of the cost is in the production/ sale of spodumene (+$600/t or ~$4000/t LCE). Thats why i think alternative lithium sources/ wastes are the way to make lithium at lowest end of the cost curve.
