Hi Rockfish, the report stated the 30,000 tpa plant (30,000 tpa syn rutile) gave an possible EBIT i.e. Earnings before interest and tax of $12,000,000. Thats a profit of $400 per tonne. For 98% pure syn rutile that sort of profit is certainly possible. The $2 million was interest only not plant cost. Back of the envelope calcs... they have quoted previously a less than 3 year pay back for a plant so I estimated a $20 to $25 million plant cost for 30 mill tpa with 100% loan at 8% (with syn rutile contracts in the bag hopefully they can get 8%).
Hope that makes more sense.
Cheers
Seik
