TA is very subjective. The reading of the hammer candle can depend where it is in the trend. What you're referring to would be much more bearish, an indicator of a trend reversal, if we were in an upswing. Where it currently is, can be an indicator of change in momentum and about to enter an upswing, see the link below.

Also i think the 'acquire a Li project and only make 5 bags' is a bit BS, it depends on the starting, current and future valuations...and perception. If Rio just picked up Manono I'm pretty sure we wouldn't see a 500% increase to the MC/SP.
